leather-studded kiss

i have come to the realization that i like lady gaga.
yeah, she wears ridiculous outfits, and "Poker Face" is muy annoying, but i am really enjoying her new stuff. "Bad Romance", "Speechless" and "Telephone", which features a very fierce Beyonce, are constantly being played on my iPod. YOU CANNOT DENY THEIR CATCHINESS. i wanna learn the Bad Romance dance so badly. not as badly as the Single Ladies dance, but still.

SO SUE ME.

we looked like giants

i wish that Ben Gibbard could observe the moments in my life and write beautiful songs about them.
whether it's his work with Death Cab For Cutie, or his side-project The Postal Service, he has a way of taking the smallest moments and details and making them interesting, real, and just really pretty pieces of music. like the light brown streaks of a girl in Tiny Vessels, a song about realizing you told someone you loved them when you really don't. "yes, you are beautiful, but you don't mean a thing to me."
the simple action of looking for some legal documents in his glove compartment inspired him to write Title and Registration, one of my favourites, a song about when his relationship was actually good. "and there's no blame / for how our love did slowly fade / and now that it's gone / it's like it wasn't there at all."

i wish there was some way to make this possible ' cause i need someone to make sense of what is going on right now, and Ben just seems like the man for the job.

"Boys With Girlfriends" - Meiko

When I first met you
I knew you were the one
Till you took me home
And I met her

She had your boxers on
And she was listening to your song
And I thought right then that she had
Everything

But I knew
She was jealous from the start
Yeah I knew
She was jealous from the start

Cause I know better
Not to be friends
With boys with girlfriends
oh I know better than that
I know better
You play the victim
And I'll be the bad guy
I know better than that
I know better

We started hanging around
After nine
I could of sworn
That I was yours

You looked at me and said,
"It's a little too late for bed"
We went to the hotel
And talked about everything

Cause what she did to us was tragic
And I had to do what's right
What we had was really magic
But I had to get what's mine

What's mine
I'll get what's mine
And you'll get yours

Friday, December 4, 2009

it's like chasing the very last train when it's too late

oh, it tears me up
i tried to hold on but it hurts too much
i tried to forgive but it's not enough
to make it all okay

you can't play our broken strings
you can't feel anything
that your heart don't want to feel
i can't tell you something that ain't real

the truth hurts, the lies worse
how can i give anymore?
when i love you a little less than before
- "Broken Strings" James Morrison

maybe together we can get somewhere

i remember, we were driving
driving in your car
the speed so fast, felt like i was drunk
city lights lay out before us
and your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder
and i had a feeling that i belonged
and i had a feeling i could be someone, be someone, be someone

mmhmm

I fought you for so long
I should have let you in
Oh how we regret those things we do
And all I was trying to do was save my own skin
But so were you
So were you

"Sometimes it seems like we’re all living in some kind of prison. And the crime is how much we hate ourselves. It’s good to get really dressed up once in awhile, and admit the truth. That when you really look closely, people are so strange and so complicated that they’re actually... beautiful. Possibly even me.”

My So-Called Life

i'm currently obsessed with a tv show that came out when i was three.
a show that only lasted one season.
but it's so. good.
a young Claire Danes.
a young (and really hot) Jared Leto.
teen angst.
nineties clothing and music.
IT'S SO. GOOD.

rugrats

so i'm looking after my brother's robo-baby while he's at the play, and i'm feeding it with the bottle for the second time. i walk into the living room, and the following conversation happens:

me: ARGH! this baby is just so needy!
mom: hmmm. it's just like another baby you know.
me: ahahaha actually that thought has already crossed my mind.
mom: you can't shove a bottle in that baby's mouth, though.
me: actually, you can. it just has beer in it.
mom: i walked right into that one, didn't I?
me: yup, you did.

outrageous

what is it that boys do when they hang out together?
i got an inside look last night, being the only girl at this particular hang out:

  • they squeal, hide behind blankets and pillows and say things like, "I don't like it. no. noooo. WHY would you do that? WHY would you go in there?! Ahhhhh!" and "Is a scary part coming? Please tell me if a scary part is coming." during a horror movie (The Haunting in Connecticut, this time)
  • they play the original Grand Theft Auto from 1997
  • they watch poker (so. boring. i will never understand.)
  • they giggle at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
  • they giggle at infomercials for ShamWOW!, and that magic "FASHION!" bracelet
  • they giggle at The Planet's Funniest Animals on the Animal Planet Channel
  • just lots of giggling overall...
keep in mind that we are 18 years old.
tee hee.

"why would you buy these pants?"

"Look, other bands, they want to make it about sex or pain, but you know, The Beatles, they had it all figured out, okay? "I Want to Hold Your Hand." The first single. It's effing brilliant, right?... That's what everybody wants, Nicky. They don't want a twenty-four-hour hump sesh, they don't want to be married to you for a hundred years. They just want to hold your hand. "

i'm your lazy dancer

metric ♥

i have loved this band since their song "Monster Hospital" was the iTunes free download of the week back when i was thirteen. it was just really great to finally see them in concert. if i didn't love emily haines before, i sure adore her now. i loved her dancemoves, her dress, and the fact that the band sounded just as good live as they do on their albums. they truly put on a great show.  here are some other highlights of the evening:
  • driving down to Kelowna with the Haberstocks and their Mexican extended family. "hola!"
  • COSTCO. hahaha Paige, Brooke and I picked up as many samples as we could. noodles, liquid yogurt, health bars... "I WANT A COSTCO CONE!" helloooo, Costco employees Travis and Mike =)
  • quickly eating at White Spot
  • Brooke's impressive pile of napkins
  • we met up with Alyssa, Chea, Nikita, Alex, Jaz and Marina
  • the opening band, Zeus. they had their indie hipster rock uniforms on - skinny jeans, grandpa cardigans, ironic mustaches and dirty, long hair. they were pretty good =)
  • METRIC. ahhhh i still can't get over how good they were.
  • there was one guy ahead of us to our right, and he was all by himself. that didn't stop him from having a great time. he was dancing and even whipped out an air guitar for a bit. so entertaining.
  • they played their last song, "Stadium Love", and i couldn't help but be disappointed that they hadn't played Monster Hospital (the first Metric song i heard) or Combat Baby (my favourite Metric song). then they came back for the encore and played those very two songs. Combat Baby was just Jimmy playing acoustic guitar and Emily singing. i came very close to weeping. it was soooo great.
  • when the lights came up, i realized that my Communications professor had been sitting in the seats directly in front of Brooke and me. I had been loudly, enthusiastically singing Metric lyrics into my prof's ear all night long. hahahaha =)
now i wanna go to another concert. Death Cab, are you listening?

this is how it works

this is how it works
you're young until you're not
you love until you don't
you try until you can't
you laugh until you cry
you cry until you laugh
and everyone must breathe
until their dying breath

no, this is how it works
you peer inside yourself
you take the things you like
and try to love the things you took
and then you take that love you made
and stick it into some-
someone else's heart
pumping someone else's blood
and walking arm in arm
you hope it don't get harmed
and even if it does
you just do it all again

hallowpalooza

successful halloween?
i should think so.
  • group costume: the yacht rock captains and their first mates =)
  • being at Lukas's house for 17 hours
  • the photoshoot in Luke's room
  • getting the dirtiest looks possible from 15 year old girls in Safeway
  • PATRON! TEQUILA! I'M DRUNK ON MARGARITAS!
  • seeing people i haven't seen for a long time
  • our dance moves to MGMT's "Electric Feel"
  • attempting to sleep in THE MOST CROWDED "BED" OF ALL TIME (gavin, brietana, rhianne, me, marty, sarah, sammy, and sometimes devin)
  • Flo Rida
  • -"is there anything on my neck?" -"what, do you mean a hickey?" - "i thought you guys were just 'listening to music' " - "yeah, i tend to only get that reaction when i listen to jazz."
  • laughing so hard that i nearly puked
  • "what seems to be the officer, problem?" - Marty Kraus
  • "Bad Boy Bill"
  • getting a phone call from some of my Fandango lovelies =)
  • Brietana and my Tim Horton's run and memory lane drive at 4:30 in the morning
  • almost running into a cop during above mentioned drive
  • finally finding a comfortable place to sleeeeep. or at least rest with my eyes closed
  • finding the note that was left for me at 3:15 a.m. that made me happy and sad all at the same time

hey baby

tonight, i was in the London Drugs CD section, when i stumbled across this album called "Rock-a-bye Baby: No Doubt". It was a collection of No Doubt songs but for babies. some GENIUSES somewhere replaced Tom and Tony's guitars, Adrian's drums, and Gwen's vocals with... err... lullaby sounds
i was seriously considering buying in for my [very far in the] future children.
seriously considering it.

"bathwater" no doubt

You and your museum of lovers
The precious collection you've housed in your covers
My simpleness threatened by my own admission

And the bags are much too heavy
In my insecure condition
My pregnant mind is fat full with envy again

But I still love to wash in your old bathwater
Love to think that you couldn't love another
I can't help it...you're my kind of man

Wanted and adored by attractive women
Bountiful selection at your discretion
I know I'm diving into my own destruction

So why do we choose the boys that are naughty?
I don't fit in so why do you want me?
And I know I can't tame you...but I just keep trying

'Cause I love to wash in your old bathwater
Love to think that you couldn't love another
I'm on your list with all your other women
But I still love to wash in your old bathwater
You make me feel like I couldn't love another
I can't help it...you're my kind of man

Why do the good girls always want the bad boys?

So I pacify problems with kisses and cuddles
Diligently doubtful through all kinds of trouble
Then I find myself choking on all my contradictions

'Cause I still love to wash in your old bathwater
Love to think that you couldn't love another
Share a toothbrush...you're my kind of man
I still love to wash in your old bathwater
Make me feel like I couldn't love another
I can't help it...you're my kind of man

No I can't help myself
I can't help myself
I still love to wash in your old bathwater

"a martyr for my love for you" the white stripes

She was sixteen and six feet tall
In a crowd of teenagers comin' out of the zoo
She stumbled started to slip and fall
Teeter-tottered on the top of patent leather shoes
I happened to catch her and said,
"maybe these ruby shoes are a little cumbersome for you"

Maybe for you, now

But not as shaky as I must have seemed
Talkin' junk through her giggle, little teenage dream
And on the phone I could not compete
My dumb-love fake competence was getting weak
For a sec' I thought I sounded sweet
But sure 'nough in a gruff, faint voice
I heard myself speak

(Chorus:)
I could stay a while
But sooner or later I'll break your smile
And I can tell a joke
But one of these days I'm bound to choke
And we could share a kiss
But I feel like I can't go through with this
And I bet we could build a home
But I know the right thing for me to do
Is to leave you alone

Leave you alone, now

I'm beginning to like you
So you probably won't get what I'm going to do
I'm walkin' away from you
It probably don't make much sense to you
But I'm trying to save you
From all of the things that I'll probably say or do

I'll probably do

(Chorus:)
I could stay a while
But sooner or later I'll break your smile
And I can tell a joke
But one of these days I'm bound to choke
And we might share a kiss
But I feel like a can't go through with this
And I bet we could build a home
But I know the right thing for me to do
Is to leave you alone

Leave you alone, now

You'll probably call me a fool
And say I'm doin' exactly what a coward would do
And I'm beginning to like you
What a shame it's a lame way to live
But what can I do?
I hope you appreciate what I do

I'm a martyr for my love for you
A martyr for my love for you, now
A martyr for my love for you
A martyr for my love for you

"feeling sorry" - paramore

we still live in the same town, well don't we?
but i don't see you around anymore;
i go to all the same places
not even a trace of you,
your days are numbered at 24

and i'm getting bored waiting around for you
we're not getting any younger and i won't look back
cause there's no use, it's time to move forward

i feel no sympathy, you live inside a cave
you barely get by, the rest of us are trying
no need to apologize
i've got no time for feeling sorry

i try not to think of what might happen
when your reality, it finally cuts through
well as for me, i got out
and i'm on the road
and the worst part is that this could be you

you know it too
can't run from your shame
you're not getting any younger
and time keeps passing by
but you wave it away, it's time to roll over

all the best lies
they are told with fingers tied
so cross them tight
won't you promise me tonight,
if it's the last thing you do, you'll get out

grey t-shirts and dark pants

so there i was at 10:30 p.m., in my sweatpants and no doubt concert t-shirt, hair in a messy bun, watching America's Next Top Model before going to sleep.

before i knew it, i was getting bombarded by texts saying that i better get ready in 5 minutes, because i was about to be kidnapped.
before i could figure out if Casey, Gavin and Devin were joking or totally serious, 2 cars pull up into my driveway.
as a result, i spent my sunday night looking for a dice to roll in the SuperStore, driving recklessly, eating A&W and witnessing attempts to climb the roof of the Rexall Drugstore.

hahahahahaha

asher roth was wrong

so, school.
or should i say, college.

i just completed week 2, and things are alright.
i show up, attend my classes, make some small talk with whoever sits beside me that day, and then arrive back home at noon-ish every day.
people keep asking me how i like it, and it's not that i don't like it...
right now, i just feel really neutral. because i'm hardly there, i kinda feel... disconnected, i guess you could say. we'll see how the entire semester plays out.

university writing: i really like my prof. he asked a tired-looking student if she had been to a rave the night before. today, he said the word "bitchin' " hahaha. so far, we've had a spelling test, and discussed commonly confused words. NO HOMEWORK.          yet.

sociology: so my prof, this chinese woman in her fifties, is kind of intimidating. she laughs nervously A LOT. we had to do these discussion questions on chapter 4 and i wasn't sure if i did a good job or not. on thursday, some students asked her to read out what she thought were good examples of discussion questions. well, both of the examples she used were MINE. whoop whoop! maybe i actually am grasping this sociology class. i've met 2 really nice girls who i now sit with, Vanessa and Kelsey. yaaaay.

communications: my prof in this class is an aging hipster. first class, he walked in wearing a The Pains of Being Pure at Heart t-shirt, a band i've read about in the pages of Nylon. he has the sideways swishy bangs going on, but his hair is greying slightly. see? AGING HIPSTER. he also has tattoos on his arms. the only one i've been able to make out without seeming like a creep is a simple drawing of Piglet from Winnie the Pooh. huh. this is definitely my favourite class fo' sho'. my prof mentioned J-Lo's booty and Lindsay Lohan's fake lesbianism in the course syllabus. we've watched clips from both Annie Hall and Avenue Q. my prof asked if i liked Ugly Betty or The Devil Wears Prada more. PERFECT.

i've mostly been taking the city bus there and back. usually it's just me and this kid who talks to himself while nervously rocking back and forth or scratching his face. either him or some quiet old lady. if i didn't have my iPod, this would suck a lot more. turns out though that Marty will probably giving me a ride there most mornings. THANK YOU, MARTIN.

i've now started to have coffee twice a day most days. soooo COLLEGE-y of me.

i still feel too young for this, especially since some of my classmates are single moms, or grads from 2005.

hmmmmm...

hey you.

that was all i wanted.
no grand gesture,
no sweeping, romantic kiss
no "will you be my girlfriend?"

just cuddling while watching Wipe Out! and a good, long talk in your car.
that was all i wanted =)

twit-ter

whenever i read your twitter, the fact that the word "TWIT" is in twitter is all i can think about.

your ex-lover is dead - stars

[when there's nothing left to burn,
you have to set yourself on fire]

god, that was strange to see you again
introduced by a friend of a friend
smiled and said, "yes i think we met before"
in that instant, it started to pour
captured a taxi despite all the rain
we drove in silence across Pont Champlain
and all of that time you thought i was sad
i was trying to remember your name

this scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin
tried to reach deep but you couldn't get in
now you're outside me
you see all the beauty
repent all your sin

there's nothing but time and a face that you lose
i chose to feel it
and you couldn't choose
i'll write you a postcard
i'll send you the news
from the house down the road
from real love

live through this, and you won't look back...

there's one thing i want to say
so i'll be brave
you were what i wanted
i gave what i gave
i'm not sorry i met you
i'm not sorry it's over
i'm not sorry there's nothing to save
i'm not sorry there's nothing to save...

teenagers - hayley williams

i'm gonna go on livin' like i never met you
and it'll feel wrong at first
but i think i can forget you
ignore the fact that we sleep
no more than three feet apart
i feel you now
you're all around me, underneath me
you're all around me, underneath me

well how was i to know
that what we carved in stone
would be so temporary?
well how was i to know
that my first crack in love
would not be the last?
it won't be the last

it's in the air now
bitter tears and broken hearts
teenagers
we count the years, we think we're smart
but we're not
we don't know anything

so don't ask me where i'll go
'cause frankly, i don't know
and i don't give a shit
why all we must make sense
of what just won't make sense?
for once, i'm just going to live
i'm just going to live

teenagers
we don't know anything

cardigans, flats, undies, plaid shirts, skinnies, oh my!

had SUCH a successful shopping day today.
i love spending money on lovely, lovely clothes.
oh, and frozen yogurt and starbucks.
mmmmmmm.

at the end of the day, i still find skater boys really, really cute.

we saw old friends, best friends, camp friends, theatre friends, stalkerboys, ex-boyfriends, ex-boyfriend's ex-girlfriends, friends' boyfriends, the girlfriend i was told to "beware" of, child-girlfriends, moms, dads, aunts, fellow Komasket goers...

it was really awesome to be on the rooftop of the Parkade, watching bands play (Modern Folk, Jodi Peterson, Professor Trelawny...) and trying to understand what little of the art there was to look at. it was also awesome to hang out with people i haven't for awhile =) aaaand the drama was kinda fun too. isn't it always?

it all ended with a hilarious salute. ("that's it?!?!")

uh huh.

"i like you more than you'll let me."

everybody but me - lykke li

ooh, i'm standing in the corner
thinking over, one, two
what i'm to do
should i go home still sober?
or should i buy me
another glass of wine
and forget about time?
but my jeans are too tight
don't feel like dancing
this light is too bright
don't feel like shining
this room is too small
i have to stand against the wall
and hope that no one sees me

[chorus:]
when everybody's dancing
i don't want to
when everybody's joking
i don't want to
when everybody's laughing
i don't want to
everybody but me
when everybody's drinking
i don't want to
when everybody's smoking
i don't need to
when everybody's fooling
i don't want to
everybody but me

i get the creeps
from all the people in here
i can't breathe
it's too crowded in here
look at me
i don't wanna be seen,
touched, heard, bothered
by the fellas
who got the look in their eye
they wanna take me home
without knowing my name
they wanna put it on
but what they don't know
is that i'm not like the others

[chorus]

Delta, Delta, Delta Nu!

my college fees are paid, i bought my two required text books, and orientation is getting closer and closer...
all of this college preparation, and all i can think is, "i feel like Elle Woods".

Please Call: That Boy

10:50 p.m. "Hey emma you wanna chill with cam and i?"
11:08 p.m. "aww emma ur missing out"

oh, sure.
you wanna hang out when i have to wake up early for an 8 hour shift the next day.

i know i ask this question a lot but,
WHY?!?!

sore limbs in the morning

"it's MY bed, i shouldn't have to put a towel down for anyone, including my cat!"

ugh.
my cat has taken over my bed, and she will. not. leave.
ick, she leaves behind a blanket of fur on the rare occasion she wanders downstairs for some food.

my bed is being taken over by an old 10 pound animal.

so sad...

long time, no see

well, that was anti-climactic...

it's moments like those that remind me that my life is not a movie.

"Damn gurl.

You got it going on.

Break me off a piece.

Shyt."

oh. my. god.

Slammin' Arm

Roots & Blues 2009:
  • watching the naked man dance all over the festival (he actually was wearing nude-coloured pants, but STILL)
  • meeting up with Camp Hurlburt friends (Jamie, Rachel, Alex, Julian, Warren, Allison, Mike, Tara, Mitchell, Katie)
  • listening to those weird women who had songs about Japanese bath houses ("scrub, scrub, scrub, scrub... i am so cleeeeaaaaaan") and their favourite pony. oh, and cocaine. "that song was from my dark period, in the 90's". HAHAHAHA.
  • watching Gay and Gaytown's extremely strange and awkward set on the Community Stage
  • Trombone Shorty! they were actually so good. "This song goes out to my saxophone player's ex-wife. It's called 'Liar, Liar'. " zing!
  • dancing in the mud with Mike, Jamie, Thomas and Fraser
  • meeting cute Salmon Arm boys. THERE ARE SO MANY.
  • watching Alex, Mike, and Jamie shotgun Bull Max
  • mini-doughnuts =)
  • getting my picture taken with girls i loathed in elementary school
  • Warren's impersonation of a very drunk Mike the night before. sooo great.
  • watching this 85 year old black soul-singer. this man is the epitome of Dirty Old Man. he sang this song in which he graphically describes how to please a woman. "suck her titties", "i don't need no Viagra" and "lick lick lick lick lick" were some of the lyrics. he then humped the stage for a bit. did i mention he is 85?!?!
  • BEDOUIN SOUNDCLASH. oh my god, that was amazing. Jay Malinowski is so attractive. oh man... so Julian, Jamie, Rachel, Kyle, Dylan (some Salmon Arm boys) and I were in the "Dance Zone", where standing audience had to go. Jay and Eon of Bedouin Soundclash come on, and Jay's all "I don't like this gated community thing going on, we want all you guys over there to come up front". So we hopped the fence and managed to get a really good spot right in front of the stage. Jay was right there. whoo. my toes got stepped on and i got elbowed a few times, but it was so fun. singing "When The Night Feels My Song" at the top of my lungs, surrounded by all these people, was such a cool feeling. i met so many people in that crowd. Gaaaaah, it was amazing.

daydream

one night to be confused
one night to speed up truth
- "Heartbeats"
Jose Gonzalez

...

i miss the sound of your voice
and i miss the rush of your skin
and i miss the still of the silence
as your breathe out and i breathe in

i miss the sound of your voice
the loudest thing in my head
and i ache to remember
all the violent, sweet, perfect words that you said

- "Come On, Get Higher"
Matt Nathanson

lately

  • got a pedicure for the first time yesterday. my toes are now a pretty, shimmery dark purple
  • bought those studded Roberto Vianni gladiators that i've been wanting for months now. i was surprised to see they were on sale for only 40$. AND they had my size! it was meant to be =)
  • i am loving The Lovely Feathers' "Wrong Choice" and Daniel Merriweather's "Change".
  • Paramore finally has some new music out! The debut single "Ignorance" has the same basic idea of No Doubt's "Excuse Me Mr.". I guess touring with them had its effects...
  • had sushi today with my dad after having a meeting at the bank to set up a savings account for school. made me feel oddly grown up. SO WEIRD. i felt like i should've been wearing a suit, not a Zoo York t-shirt and jeans. at lunch, i chatted to my dad about school, his work, family that will be visiting... my dad referenced a Bruce Springsteen song somewhere in there =) (i secretly really enjoy Bruce Springsteen's music)
  • okay, so Katy Perry was on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire a few nights ago, and she came across as the stupidest, ditziest human being alive. it was the strangest thing; she was obviously putting on an act because i've seen interviews with her where she came across as much more... competent. Not sure why she felt the need to play the part of ditz on an intelligence-based game show...
  • i finally watched Zach Braff's Garden State a few nights ago. i didn't love it like some people said i would, but i did like it. Natalie Portman is adorable in this movie as Sam. i realized that Zach Braff reminds me of Keenan Nurmsoo.
  • Roots & Blues this weekend! i finally get to see Bedouin Soundclash live! so excited, especially since that cute guy from my brother's camp who was flirting with me when i picked my brother up one day will be there as a stage manager. backstage pass, perhaps?
  • my August Nylon finally arrived. the article on Sienna Miller made me love her. i love it when articles make me see a new/different side of celebrities. it was an ELLEgirl (R.I.P.) article on Hilary Duff that made me change my opinion from fiery hate to pleasant liking back in like, 2005.
  • i drove out to the Starlight Drive-in last night with my mom and brother to see Harry Potter (thanks, Molly, for only charging us admission for one!). i'm becoming more comfortable with highway driving. i LOVE driving, and can't wait to get my N in november. i'm dying for a road trip.
xoxo

"dwarves are like bonzai trees - they entertain you"

"so rich, so pretty"
"we don't hang out and i hate it"
"help! i'm cold and drunk and lost at Silver Star! i need you!"
"13!"

is it wrong of me to love getting drunken texts/calls in the middle of the night?
if you're drunk with a phone in your hand, i am sooo your girl.

some may say i'm a dreamer

i had a dream a few nights ago that i gave birth...
but my baby girl was not a human, she was a peach pie.

this is the result of working in a bakery and watching shows like 16 and Pregnant and One Tree Hill (EVERY WOMAN/GIRL on that show either has been pregnant, is pregnant, or pretended to be pregnant to make someone jealous or protect someone) on a regular basis.

but i ain't scared of loving you
baby i know your afraid of a lot of things
but don't be scared of love
cause people will say all kinds of things

cause all i see is what's in front of me
and thats you

i've taken hits time just don't erase
and baby i can see you've been fucked with too
but that don't mean your loving days are through
cause people will say all kinds of things
that don't mean a damn to me
cause all i see is what's in front of me
and thats you

well i may be just a fool
but i know we're just as cool
and cool kids they belong together

"If you can't laugh at yourself, life's gonna seem a whole lot longer than you'd like."
